| About
Technique Gymnastics Technique is where kids ages 18
months to 22 years build athletic skills and confidence while
enthusiastic staff encourages self-esteem and skill development.
Our programs allow kids of all
abilities to participate in gymnastics,
cheer, tumbling, kids fitness programs and a variety of other
fun activities. We do have both girls and boys USA
competitive gymnastics teams for those athletics wanting to
compete.
HISTORY
Technique
was founded in 1992 and opened the doors to the
West Coast's largest and safest gym in August
1996. Owners Jim and Alice Welch envisioned a
place where people could learn in a safe facility
and positive teaching and learning environment.
ABOUT OUR
PROGRAMS
Endorsing
a positive environment that always encourages
participation, our programs help children become
aware of the great things they can accomplish.
The majority of our programs are non-competitive
and divided by age and skill level to be
developmentally appropriate. Children are
encouraged to work toward their individual goals
and enjoy their personal successes. By teaching
the most current and safest techniques, students
develop a strong foundation that allows them to
go as far as their interest and ability allows.
Our
Staff
Our staff
includes some of the highest trained and most
qualified instructors anywhere! From the
recreational through the Olympic level, coaches
are trained and certified in First Aid, CPR and
Safety. Safety training is administered through
the governing body of the sport. While they are
members of USAG and numerous other professional
organizations, Technique's main requirement for
the staff is that they love children!
